Our First Steps: Building Foundational Design Systems
Since our founding in 2020, Knapsack’s vision has been to bring product teams together around a shared, centralized source of truth. We built a platform that empowers designers, developers, and product managers to create consistent, performant, and compliant experiences within the ecosystems their teams depend on.
Our early work in design systems and documentation reduced rework and improved alignment across Fortune 500 organizations. Then, with the launch of Knapsack’s Consumer Role and Prototyping, We empowered teams to design and build shippable UIs directly in code from the outset — dramatically compressing cycle times and focusing high-value human effort where it matters most.
These milestones paved the way for the next leap forward: AI-integrated digital product creation and delivery.
